Dr. Carlos Garcia

On occasion, we may call in Dr. Carlos Garcia to assist with surgical procedures for our patients. His specialised skillset allows us to provide our clients with a valuable alternative, particularly for those who may be unable to pursue referral to a speciality hospital due to cost or travel constraints. With Dr. Garcia’s expertise, we are able to offer a broader range of advanced surgical services right here in our facility, making high-quality care more accessible and affordable.

Thanks to his support, we can perform complex procedures such as Tibial Plateau Leveling Osteotomies (TPLOs) for cruciate ligament injuries, patella luxation repairs, fracture repairs, and a wide variety of soft tissue surgeries. These services are carried out at a significantly reduced cost compared to typical referral centres, while still maintaining a high standard of care and surgical precision.

Dr. Garcia earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of North Carolina at Asheville, where he majored in Cellular and Molecular Biology. Following his undergraduate studies, he went on to earn his Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) from Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2015. After graduation, he spent three years working as a general practitioner in both Miami and the Tampa Bay area, where he developed a strong foundation in companion animal medicine and surgery.

Seeking to further specialise in surgical care, Dr. Garcia completed a rigorous Small Animal Surgery specialty internship at Affiliated Veterinary Specialists. His additional training enables him to handle a wide variety of complex surgical cases with confidence and care.

Outside of veterinary medicine, Dr. Garcia enjoys embracing the Florida lifestyle. He spends his free time at the beach, working on cars, cooking, weight lifting, and, above all, cherishing time with his wife and family. Fluent in both English and Spanish, he is proud to serve the Hispanic community and build stronger communication with all of his clients.
